Decanter World Wine awards 2010 (Silver Medal)



Made with the grapes of the winery own vineyards in Albares de la Ribera, with their hundred-years-old Mencia vine stems.
This wine has gane through an ageing process and through the necessary time in bottle.

Tasting notes:
It has a violetish ruby red colour and a vanilla and soft dark-roasted flavour aroma. Structured and powerful.

Recommendations:
It can be enjoyed alone as an aperitif or after a meal, as well as being ideal served with roast meat.

Made entirely of Verdejo variety grapes from the oldest vine stocks in our La Seca vineyards. Hand harvested and sorted in order to obtain maximum quality. Fermented in stainless-steel vats. rigorous temperature control during the entire fermentation process. This has kept all of the exceptional characteristics of this wine intact.

Tasting notes:
Colour:
Straw-coloured with golden glints, very clean and bright.
Nose: Very fine full of fruit, lychee, with anise, sweet grass, fennel and a mineral edge.
Palate: Full-bodied loaded with fruit, good structure and slight bitter hints typical of Verdejo variety.
Drinking temperature: between 8°C y 10°C.
Storage temperature: Between 10ÂșC y 20°C, with humidity at 75 -80%. Abrupt temperature change should be avoided. Keep for two years form purchasing date.
Recommendations: Serve in an ice bucket accompany seafood, raw and cooked fish dishes and fish with sauces, smoked meats, foie, cheeses, omelettes, rice and pasta.
